RUMAH PENGHULU

Malaysia has been blessed with a diverse cultural background that keeps evolving. Throughout decades, Malaysia has seen itself grow richer with introduction of people, culture, architecture and amazing food.

And now, we are introducing the Malay House, Rumah Penghulu Abu Seman which located at Kuala Lumpur. This Malay House was originally a residence by village headman (penghulu in Bahasa Malayu). The Rumah Penghulu is a traditional Malay House which is built on stilts, originated from Kampung Sungai Kechil in the small town of Kedah. The house was bought over by the Heritage of Malaysia Trust and restored to its former glory when it was moved to Kuala Lumpur.
